Achievements

1913:

The B.Ed department was affiliated to Calcutta University in 1913 for LT

1941:

For BT was recognized by the National Center for Teacher Education.

1996:

The starting of the Women’s Cell for illiterate and socially and financially challenged young women

1999-2000:

The College volunteered for assessment by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and was graded with 5 stars. For three years the college was the only Higher Education Institution in West Bengal to have been assessed by NAAC.

2003:

The B.Ed Department was assessed independently by NAAC and was awarded a grade of B++.

2004:

Affiliation to Calcutta University for B.A.(Elective) in Journalism and Mass Communication and Film Studies.

2005:

Affiliation to Human Rights Inauguration of Women’s Study Society

2007:

The College has been reaccredited with an A grade by NAAC

2007:

Affiliation to Calcutta University for B.A (Honours) in Psychology and B.A/B.Sc (Major) in Computer Application

2012:

Affiliation to Calcutta University for B.Sc. (Honours) in Economics and B.Sc. (Elective) in Mathematics

2013:

The College was assessed by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and was awarded with an A grade.

Installation of 60 Solar Photo Voltaic Panels on the rooftop of the College
